The Married Couples Ministry at New Hope Community Church attempts to help married and engaged couples to foster healthy Christian relationships. Facilitated by Dr. Ethan W. Ogletree Sr. and First Lady Pamela Ogletree, the ministry sponsors workshops and outings throughout the year where couples can discuss topics that are relevant to maintaining healthy relationships.

The statistics sound the alarm:

*Over 50% of marriages in the U.S. end in divorce.
*The number of people getting married each year is declining.
*Co-habitation, a primary contributor to divorce, is on the rise.
*The cost of divorce to taxpayers is over $150 billion annually.
*The cost of divorce to business owners is over $6 billion annually.

Celebrity couples receive high levels of exposure for their divorces and for deciding not to get married! Christian couples are casualties of the same culture war, but they should be a beacon of God’s plan for relationships. So, how do we turn the tide?
